Q:  How long have you been associated with the league and in what capacity?

A:  I first learned about the league a 1 1/2 years ago as my grandson started riding with the Wenatchee team, and I went to the races.

Q:  What are a couple of your favorite Mt. Bike Trails?

A:  I love riding on dirt roads, and my favourite trail was the 7 mile “dog loop” up Sand Creek. It was always quiet, easy on the dogs, and readily available for quick rides.

Q:  Have you or do you have kids in the league?

A: (My grandson is in the league.) The thing that has drawn me to the WSCL is the camaraderie and support I’ve observed during the races, and the growth of the riders’ skills between the first and last races.

Q:  What is your favorite thing about the league?

A:  Cycling is a lifelong activity, sport, passion, and seeing kids persist outside on trails and in less-than-great weather conditions is really fun. That they rally for others makes it even more meaningful.

Q. Can you give us one random fact about yourself?

A. I randomly write poetry.

Q. What big biking adventure would you like to do?

A. I first started riding long distance (60 miles was long distance then) as a teenager, and always dreamed of touring down 101 along the Oregon coast. Wisdom prevailed and over the years I shifted from road to mountain biking. At this stage of my life, I would love to make the time to ride the Palouse to Cascades trail in one trip.
