Board Vice President
Q: How long have you been associated with the league and in what capacity?
A: I have been with the league for three years, with two years as head coach of the Capital City MTB Teams.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite Mt. Bike Trails?
A: There are so many great trails but if I have to answer: Hymasa and Captain Ahab Loop (Moab, Utah) and Lemish, Charlton, Waldo Loop in Central Oregon. Then again maybe Ape Canyon/Plains of Abraham at St. Helens or the Hurricane Cliffs Rim Loop in Utah. But … the complete North Fork Flagline, South Fork Loop in Bend is fun too. That leaves out The Newberry Crater Rim Trail, which is always fun though. The point is I have many favorites.
Q: What is your favorite thing about mountain biking?
A: Finding and riding new trails with my family.
Q: Have you or do you have kids in the league?
A: I currently have 2 kids in the League. The 2020 season will be my son Troy’s 4th year in the league and my daughter Anna’s 3rd year in the league.
Q: What is your favorite thing about the league?
A: I have enjoyed watching the confidence and feeling of accomplishment that the riders gain as they develop as riders.
Q: What is your favorite thing about being on the Board of Directors of the WSCL?
A: I have been on a lot of boards. This one has mountain bike rides on the agenda for the board retreat… 🙂
