Mission | Promote youth development, diversity, and stewardship through cycling to positively impact the future.
Vision | An inclusive community of confident and healthy youth.
Team rides serve as the primary opportunity for students to progressively build skills and work on fitness as well as provide student leadership opportunities. All rides focus on balancing skills and fitness, fun and safety.
League races are a great way for students, parents, coaches, friends and family, to connect with others across our state and surround our students with community. Our philosophy is to balance competitive and non-competitive mountain biking pursuits and to let students chose their own level of participation!
The Washington League has a comprehensive coach licensing program to deliver the highest quality youth mountain bike programming in our state ensuring that all of our coaches have all the tools they need to be effective coaches. We provide training, screen, and monitor all adults in our programs.
We are committed to better understand and implement inclusive practices for all participants. Our goal is that all participants can compete in a safe and supportive environment, free of discrimination. We encourage all students to participate in our league in a manner that is consistent with their gender identity. Please provide advanced notice if accommodations of any kind are needed. We are still learning and growing regarding our league. Please reach out with feedback, comments, and any knowledge you may wish to share to improve the WSCL.
