Volunteer

We are super excited for the 2018 Washington Student Cycling League season. The League is growing and so is our need for volunteers! We ask that all teams with 12 and under students supply a minimum of one volunteer per race, and teams over 12 students supply a minimum of two. It’s fun to volunteer – try it!!

A few things we want to emphasize regarding volunteering:

  • The main role of coaches on race day is support your student riders! Please keep this in mind when considering volunteering.
  • There are volunteer positions that require a bike and helmet and some that do not. There really is a position for everyone.
  • Everyone must check-in at the Volunteer tent at the time listed on the volunteer position and sign a waiver. The Volunteer Coordinator will give you instructions and where and when to report to duty.
  • Be prepared – dress accordingly
  • Have fun!
  • Please support our organization by volunteering at our events. It really does take a village.

Your time is a valuable donation

Our organization is volunteer driven! For each one of our races, we rely on about 75 volunteers and approximately 250 volunteer hours. With your help, we provide the safest mountain biking opportunities for our student-athletes and spectators.

You can help us on race weekend by helping set up the race course, assist with parking, help stage racers, announcing, or by course marshaling. We have positions for everyone! On the bike and off the bike volunteer positions are available.

    Comments from recent volunteers:

    • This was my first time volunteering with your organization. I will definitely be back.
    • I really appreciate how easy you make it on us volunteers. Thank you.
    • WOW. I wasn’t expecting to have so much fun. And I made new friends.

We welcome you to join our community and have fun with us in the great outdoors while helping to empower our youth!
