At the beginning of each race season, the League will assign a race category for all registered students and publish the list approximately 30 days before the first race. This assignment is based on the riders prior year category and placement or the default category for new riders.
Should the student want to change their race category, we encourage they work with their head coach and parent(s) in helping them make this decision. The student may file a Petition for Race Category Change which will be reviewed by our Rules and Appeals Committee.
Petitions should be rider/parent initiated along with guidance from your coach. Petitions filed by the coach may not be considered. Please note that there are petition deadlines for each race.

April 20: Petition window opens

May 4: Petition window opens
May 8: Petition window closes
May 18: Petition window opens

Please note that any petition filed after the published deadline will not be considered until the next race.
