WSCL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS!

FSA is honored to continue supporting the Washington Student Cycling League. This year we would like to promote the qualities exhibited by students by awarding the following gifts to four students that possess the qualities of Leadership, Sports-conduct, Improvement and Spirit.

Achievement Awards

These achievements are awarded to any player in the league as voted by the players and coaches

Best Sports-like Conduct: conduct and attitude (such as fairness, respect for one’s opponent, and graciousness in winning or losing) is of the highest degree in the league.

  • Be a team player
  • Stays positive
  • Diminishes trash talk
  • Loses gracefully
  • Wins with class
  • Respects the rulings of officials

Most Improved Performance: student has increased their skillset as well as the impact they have had on the team in a positive way the most from the beginning to the end of the season. This is done by improving the over skill level and other factors, such as attitude towards teammates and coaches are also considered.

  • Improves skillset consistently and responsibly
  • Engages focus and determination amongst the group
  • Shows the most commitment towards improving personal goals
  • Is a master of dedication and hard work
  • Never gives up and instills that mindset in others

Most Improved Technical Ability: student has increased their skillset from beginning to end of the season while exhibiting leadership and innovation throughout. This is done by improving the overall skill level and other factors, such as helping teammates with their skillset, or developing originality in conquering skills.

  • Improves skillset consistently and responsibly
  • Shows persistence and does not take failure as an option when learning a new skillset
  • Shows the most commitment towards improving technical goals
  • Is a master of dedication and hard work
  • Creates and uses imagination to develop original skillsets

Spirit Award!: student has made the league more fun, honorable, and exhibits the most cooperation as a team mate. Is warm, friendly, and inspirational throughout the year.

  • Has the “gift” of getting along with others
  • Is inspirational and always has a positive attitude
  • Shows the most commitment towards improving peoples attitude around them
  • Had an inherent ability to show empathy
